Ces derniers temps, j’ai essayé de m’amuser un peu avec mes ongles. Étant donné que je suis complètement novice dans le domaine du nail art, soyez indulgents.

J’ai testé trois déclinaisons d’un même motif relativement simple.

Tout d’abord, j’applique une base renforçante, qui empêche également l’ongle de jaunir à force d’applications de vernis et de dissolvant.

Ensuite je prends un vernis bien opaque et uni que j’applique sur l’ensemble de l’ongle. Sur la première et la dernière photo, j’ai utilisé un autocollant pour garder la naissance de l’ongle à nu.

Puis je choisis un vernis très pailleté que j’applique au bout de l’ongle en suivant sa forme (c’est là qu’il ne faut surtout pas avoir la tremblote).

Enfin, je lisse le tout avec un top coat qui apporte une belle brillance à l’ongle et grâce auquel la manucure tiendra plus longtemps. Le top coat que j’utilise accélère aussi le séchage. Bon, je dis pas que vous pourrez aller enfiler votre skinny préféré juste après la manucure, mais le vernis est sec au toucher en quelques secondes (idéal pour celles qui, comme moi, appliquent leur vernis avant d’aller dormir).

I’ve been trying to have fun with my nails lately. Since I’m still a complete noob in the nail art area, please be lenient!

Here are three versions of the same, relatively simple, pattern.

First of all, I apply a strengthening base coat that also prevents my nails from going all yellowy with the continuous nail polish and nail polish remover applications.

Then, I use an opaque and plain nail polish to brush over the entire nail. On the first and the last picture, I’ve used a sticker to keep a part of the nail naked.

Now the tricky part, I choose a glittery nail polish and apply it at the tip of the nail by following its shape (that’s where a steady hand comes in handy).

Finally, I apply a smoothing top coat that gives a beautiful shine to the nail while allowing the manicure to last longer. My top coat also makes the nail polish dry faster. I’m not saying you can go and squeeze into your favorite skinny jeans right after the manicure, but the nail polish is dry to the touch in a few seconds (which is ideal for those who apply their nail polish before going to sleep like me).
