In Bruges - Part I

Ma dernière destination city-trip était Bruges. Pas besoin de sortir de la Belgique pour se dépayser. Anvers, Liège, et Bruxelles sont des endroits où j’adore passer un weekend détente, shopping et gourmandise.

La Venise du Nord est réputée pour sa beauté et son calme. On prend le temps d’apprécier les canaux, l’architecture médiévale et tant d’autres choses qui font de Bruges un véritable musée à ciel ouvert.

Vous vous souvenez de mon premier article Berlin Berlin ? Je vous y parlais d’un gilet acheté exprès dans une taille bien supérieure à la mienne. J’ai recommencé avec le pull que je porte ici. Au lieu d’un S trop moulant et trop court à mon goût, j’ai opté pour un L qui correspondait mieux à ce que je recherchais. Résultat : la longueur parfaite pour le porter avec un legging et éviter l’indésirable camel toe.

Je ne me lasse pas des bottines à semelles ultra-épaisses et dois systématiquement me retenir de craquer pour un modèle qui diffère légèrement de ceux que j’ai déjà (sachant que la retenue n’est pas mon fort, j’ai intérêt à faire de la place dans mon placard).

My latest city trip destination was Bruges. No need to get out of Belgium to enjoy a change of scenery. I love spending the weekend in Antwerp, Liège or Brussels to shop, eat and relax.

The Venice of the North is renowned for its beauty and its calm. We took the time to appreciate the canals and the medieval architecture which, among other things, make Bruges a real open-air museum.

Remember my first post, Berlin Berlin? I was telling you about a cardigan bought in the biggest size I could find. Well I did it again with the jumper I’m wearing here. Instead of buying the small size which was too short and close-fitting for my taste, I picked the large one. And I got what I wanted: the perfect length to wear it with leggings and to avoid the undesirable camel toe.

I can’t get enough of chunky ankle boots and I always have to restrain myself from falling for a new pair slightly different from those I already own (and since I’m not really good at self-controlling myself, I guess I’ll just have to make room in my closet).
