Samedi passé, j’ai participé au COHORT Trunkshow SS16 au Wiels à Bruxelles

COHORT c’est quoi ? Un groupe de 6 créateurs talentueux ayant lancé leur propre marque en Belgique, et désireux de se faire un nom dans le monde de la mode.

Après un showroom et une conférence de presse, un défilé présentant les créations de Florence Coenraets, Mansour Badjoko (Control Studio), Doriane van Overeem, Pierre-Antoine Vettorello, Giuseppe Virgone, et Megan Scott Manolova a enchanté le public.

Last Saturday, I took part in the COHORT Trunkshow SS16 at the Wiels in Brussels.

What is COHORT? A collective of 6 talented designers that have launched their own brand in Belgium, wishing to make a name for themselves in the fashion industry.

After a showroom and a press conference, the audience enjoyed a fashion show presenting the work of Florence Coenraets, Mansour Badjoko (Control Studio), Doriane van Overeem, Pierre-Antoine Vettorello, Giuseppe Virgone, and Megan Scott Manolova.

Backstage, j’ai rencontré plein de chouettes gens (et même une autre blogueuse montoise, allez voir son blog au top Minouderie), je me suis fait chouchouter par les maquilleuses de chez MAC Cosmetics et par les coiffeurs de chez Philippe Gonay, et j’ai pu admirer le superbe travail des 6 créateurs.

J’ai marché pour Doriane van Overeem et sa collection Porn Is for Girls Too ainsi que pour Florence Coenraets et ses magnifiques coiffes. C’était la troisième fois que je portais une pièce de Doriane pour un show et c’est toujours un plaisir de la côtoyer et de la voir à l’œuvre.

I met a lot of great people backstage (and even another blogger from Mons, check her blog Minouderie), I was pampered by MAC Cosmetics makeup artists and by Philippe Gonay’s hairdressers, and I got to admire the amazing work of the 6 designers.

I walked for Doriane van Overeem and her collection Porn Is for Girls Too, but also for Florence Coenraets and her gorgeous headpieces. It was my third time wearing one of Doriane’s outfit for a show and it’s always a pleasure to spend time with her and to watch her get busy.

Je pense que la journée fut une véritable réussite. Je ne doute pas de la quantité de travail consacrée à l’organisation de ce projet, sachant qu’ils ont eux-mêmes financé le tout. Chaque designer a une identité propre qui se ressent dans ses créations.

Je ne leur souhaite que du succès pour l’avenir!

I feel that the trunkshow was a real success. I can only imagine how much work was dedicated to the organization of this project, knowing that they funded everything themselves. Each designer has its very own identity and you can see it through their creations.

I wish them every success for the future!
